Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Move products by loading/unloading shipments to carriers’ vehicles and store them in appropriate storage areas (rackings, stacks, outside yard) *If forklift certified* . BASIC FUNCTION: The Shipping and Receiving Clerk will work closely with the warehouse personnel to ensure all items received and shipped are accurately accounted for.

BASIC FUNCTION:The Shipping and Receiving Clerk will work closely with the warehouse personnel to ensure all items received and shipped are accurately accounted for. The Shipping and Receiving clerk will prepare all inbound and outbound paperwork and record all information accurately and timely for all shipments.    QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Authorized to work in the United States
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and safely lift, turn, position and transfer product accordingly
• Must meet the job and skill requirements of a Shipping and Receiving Clerk
• Must have strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Must have a satisfactory background check
• Must successfully complete training and requirements to operate a forklift
• Must comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards
• Ability to work in harsh conditions, both hot/cold environments
• 1-2 years shipping and receiving experience, preferred
• 1-2 years warehouse experience, preferred
• Forklift experience a plus
• Must possess the appropriate computer experience (i.e Microsoft Office)
• Ability to multitask and work in an organized manner

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Schedule all inbound and outbound orders via telephone and email
• Record and file shipment data and validate loading documents
• Verify shipping information is correct for accurate delivers
• Assign dock doors to carriers upon delivery or pickup
• Schedule LTLs for pick up
• Process shipment orders in a timely manner
• Process labels using UPS Worldship & Fedex websites
• Troubleshoot discrepancies as needed
• Update daily reports, inbound & outbound logs

• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area
• Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse
• Conduct operations in a manner which promotes safety
• Act in a manner that promotes teamwork by assisting the clerical department when needed
• Perform all duties and responsibilities of the Customer Service Representative as needed
• Cycle Counts
• Other duties as assigned
