    About the Role

    The Shift Manager-In Room Dining assists the Manager In Room Dining in overseeing the day-to-day management of the In Room Dining Operation.

    Position Responsibilities

    • Ensures that service is carried out in accordance with established policy
    • Responsible for controlling labor and other operating costs
    • Trains and evaluates all In Room Dining personnel and enforces food and beverage policies and procedures
    • Facilitates communication between various hotel, casino Departments and the In-Room Dining and Amenity Department to ensure courteous and prompt service
    • Ensures sanitation compliance throughout In Room Dining
    • Handles customer complaints
    • Responsible for compliance with all regulatory requirements within area of responsibility
    • Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility
    • Shift assignments may be irregular, and will cover days, nights, weekends and holidays
    • Adheres to federal, state and local laws and regulations
    • All other duties as assigned
    • The ability to handle all types of guest related situations

    Essential Functions

    • The ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, lift, reach, pull, push, kneel, squat and grasp
    • Must be able to walk and stand for entire shift
    • The ability to work in a high-pressure environment
    • Must have ability to sit and work from a computer for extended periods
    • Exposure to casino related environmental factors, including but not limited to, secondhand smoke, excessive noise and stress related to servicing customers in a fast paced environment.
    • Must be able lift/push/pull up to 25 lbs

    Requirements

    • High school diploma or GED with three years’ supervisory experience in Room Service and/or full-service restaurants is preferred
    • The ability to effectively communicate in English

    • Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $46,500-$60,500 annually. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including experience and expertise and may vary from the amount listed above.
