Job Title: ServiceNow Developer

Location(s): Jersey City, NJ, Tampa, FL and Tempe, AZ


Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer to support and enhance Capacity Management processes within the ServiceNow platform. The role will focus on designing, developing, and implementing ServiceNow solutions that enable infrastructure capacity planning, utilization tracking, forecasting, performance analytics, and operational reporting.

The ideal candidate will have strong ServiceNow development experience combined with a solid understanding of IT infrastructure, capacity management, monitoring, cloud environments, and enterprise integrations. This position will work closely with Capacity Management, Infrastructure, Cloud, Operations, and Service Delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, configure, and maintain custom ServiceNow applications, workflows, and integrations supporting Capacity Management.
  • Configure and customize ServiceNow modules including:
    • ITSM
    • CMDB
    • Service Mapping
    • Discovery
    • Performance Analytics
    • Reporting
  • Develop capacity dashboards, KPIs, utilization metrics, forecasting reports, and operational analytics for server, storage, network, cloud, and application resources.
  • Integrate ServiceNow with infrastructure monitoring and observability platforms, including SolarWinds, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk, Nagios, Azure Monitor, and AWS CloudWatch.
  • Automate infrastructure data collection, trend analysis, threshold monitoring, alerts, and capacity-planning workflows.
  • Support CMDB health initiatives and maintain accurate infrastructure asset and configuration data.
  • Develop and maintain REST/SOAP APIs, Script Includes, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Actions, UI Policies, Flow Designer workflows, and Scheduled Jobs.
  • Partner with Capacity Management teams to analyze resource utilization and infrastructure trends and identify opportunities for automation and optimization.
  • Participate in ServiceNow upgrades, patching, testing, deployment, and release management activities.
  • Create technical documentation, process flows, configuration documentation, and knowledge articles.
  • Troubleshoot complex ServiceNow platform issues and provide Level 3 production support for incidents and enhancements.
  • Follow Agile/Scrum development practices and participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
Required Qualifications
ServiceNow Experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
  • Strong experience with:
    • ITSM
    • CMDB
    • Service Mapping
    • Discovery
    • Performance Analytics
    • Flow Designer
    • Integration Hub
  • Experience developing custom ServiceNow applications and portals.
  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow development best practices and platform architecture.
Technical Skills
  • Strong JavaScript development skills.
  • Hands-on experience with Glide API, Script Includes, Business Rules, UI Actions, Client Scripts, and UI Policies.
  • Experience developing REST and SOAP integrations.
  • Strong knowledge of JSON and XML.
  • SQL and data analysis experience.
  • Experience developing ServiceNow reports, dashboards, KPIs, and performance analytics.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Capacity Management Knowledge
Strong understanding of:
  • ITIL Capacity Management processes.
  • Capacity planning and forecasting.
  • Infrastructure performance monitoring.
  • Resource utilization and optimization.
  • Trend analysis and predictive analytics.
  • Infrastructure capacity metrics and KPIs.
  • Hybrid cloud environments, including AWS and Azure.
Preferred Qualifications
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS).
  • ITIL Foundation certification.
  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise infrastructure environments.
  • Experience in the banking or financial services industry.
  • Experience integrating ServiceNow with enterprise monitoring and observability platforms.
Work Environment
  • 100% onsite.
  • Position available in Jersey City, NJ; Tampa, FL; or Tempe, AZ.
  • Requires close collaboration with infrastructure, cloud, operations, capacity management, and service delivery teams.
