We are seeking a detail-oriented and mechanically skilled Shock Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair, and performance optimization of shock absorbers for a variety of applications, including UTV and Snowmobile shocks. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for precision work.
Key Responsibilities: • Inspect, disassemble, clean, and rebuild shock absorbers to manufacturer or custom specifications. • Document shock settings, pressures, measurements, and parts. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. • Collaborate with engineers, and other technicians to meet performance goals. • Follow all safety protocols and quality control procedures.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred). Mechanical or automotive repair experience (shock/suspension experience a plus). Ability to read and follow technical manuals and diagrams. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Basic computer skills for documentation and data entry. Ability to lift and handle components up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Skills: Experience with motorsports or off-road vehicle suspension systems. Familiarity with shock dyno operation and data interpretation.
Work Environment: This position involves hands-on mechanical work in a shop setting, with occasional travel for events, testing, or customer support.
Starting Pay Range: The starting pay range for California is $26.00 to $34.00 per hour, plus eligibility for overtime. Individual pay and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
Eligibility: Former employees must be eligible for rehire, and current employees must be in good standing.
