Preferred Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field (preferred but not required).
2+ years of experience troubleshooting, repairing, or maintaining industrial electrical and mechanical equipment.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
Hands-on experience with electro-mechanical systems, including motors, sensors, pneumatics, and motion control.
Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, multimeters, and other diagnostic test equipment.
Strong PC skills, including Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent mechanical aptitude with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while effectively managing travel and customer schedules.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a passport for domestic and international travel.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in manufacturing and industrial environments.
Preferred Experience
The following experience is considered a plus but is not required:
Field service experience supporting capital equipment or industrial machinery.
Electronics manufacturing, SMT, semiconductor, or PCB assembly experience.
Experience with industrial X-ray inspection systems, AOI, SPI, or automated optical inspection equipment.
Knowledge of PLCs, industrial networking, robotics, or automation systems.
Familiarity with quality management systems, including ISO 9001.
Experience performing equipment installations, preventive maintenance, calibrations, and customer training.
Field Service Responsibilities
Install, commission, and verify the operation of Scienscope equipment at customer facilities.
Provide operator and maintenance training to ensure customers can safely and effectively use the equipment.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain X-ray inspection and industrial automation systems.
Perform preventive maintenance, equipment inspections, calibrations, software updates, and system upgrades.
Document all service activities by completing accurate and detailed service reports following each customer visit.
Deliver exceptional customer service while professionally representing Scienscope during on-site service calls and technical support visits.
Collaborate with engineering and technical support teams to resolve complex equipment issues.
Maintain service tools, spare parts inventory, and company-issued equipment in good working condition.
Travel approximately 40% domestically and internationally for equipment installations, repairs, preventive maintenance, and customer training.
Support the Sales team at industry trade shows by assisting with equipment setup, operation, demonstrations, and teardown.

Preferred Residence: Candidates should reside within the Midwest territory, including Missouri, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, or Tennessee, to efficiently support customer installations and service throughout the region.
