PATTERSON AUTOS -Huntington Beach Mazda is looking for an experienced Automotive Service Technician to join our team. We are seeking an EXPERIENCED technician with strong diagnostic and repair skills. Mazda experience is preferred, but we value technicians with strong diagnostic abilities, a positive attitude, and a commitment to quality workmanship. We are also open to technicians with experience from other manufacturers who are eager to learn and grow with the Mazda brand. Pay compensation is extremely competitive.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed.  Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Qualifications

• 3-4 years Mazda experience preferred
• STRONG diagnose and repair knowledge is required – engine / transmission / electrical
• ASE certifications are ideal
• Strong automotive background
• Strong teamwork skills
• Willing to submit to a drug screen & background check
• Must have clean & valid driver's license

The Automotive Contracts Clerk Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges.  Wages include Base Hourly Compensation of between $33.80 and $38.00 The position also may also pay a production bonus based on individual or team performance that may range from $0.00 (if baseline benchmarks are not met) without any fixed upper limit.
