We are seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to join a growing industrial automation and machinery company with a strong family-oriented culture and long-term growth opportunities. Position Overview
This role will focus on supporting automated machinery installations, commissioning, troubleshooting, repairs, and customer support at manufacturing facilities throughout the U.S., primarily in Texas. The technician will work closely with customers to ensure equipment operates efficiently and production downtime is minimized.
This is a travel-heavy role with strong overtime opportunities and long-term advancement potential.
Responsibilities
Install, commission, and troubleshoot industrial automated equipment and production lines
Provide onsite and remote technical support to customers and service teams
Read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics
Perform startup, setup, acceptance testing, and operator training on new equipment
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and controls-related issues
Communicate service-related issues and updates with internal teams and factory support
Support customer demonstrations, trade shows, and additional service-related activities as needed
Deliver excellent customer service while representing the company professionally onsite
Qualifications
Must-Have:
2+ years of experience as a Service Technician or Field Service Technician
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Ability to read electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics
Hands-on commissioning experience with industrial equipment or automated lines
Comfortable with frequent travel and working independently onsite
Ability to work overtime and occasional weekends as needed
Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience supporting industrial machinery or automation equipment
Experience with busbar machinery or sheet metal automation
Familiarity with PLC troubleshooting, programming, or diagnostics
Strong communication and customer-facing skills
Candidates located near Houston or Austin are highly preferred
Compensation & Benefits
$30–$40/hour depending on experience
