QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications & Requirements
Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or related field
2+ years of experience servicing CNC and/or manual machine tools preferred
Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills
Experience with CNC controls (Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain, or similar) preferred
Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
Proficiency with diagnostic tools and measurement equipment
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Ability to travel up to 60% local and national when needed
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical service tasks
Excellent time management and customer service skills

RESPONSIBILITIES
Install, commission, and test new machine tools at customer locations
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Perform preventive maintenance and machine inspections
Troubleshoot CNC controls, drives, motors, and PLC systems
Calibrate machines and verify accuracy to manufacturer specifications
Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers
Document service activities, repairs, and parts usage
Train customers on proper machine operation and maintenance
Coordinate with parts, sales, and engineering teams
Maintain company tools, vehicles, and equipment
Follow safety standards and company service procedures

The Service Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing CNC and manual machine tools at customer sites and KNUTH facilities. This role plays a critical part in ensuring customer satisfaction through timely, high-quality technical support and preventative maintenance services.
