Service Line Sales Manager - SAP

About the role:

Cognizant is seeking a highly accomplished and versatile Service Line Sales Manager - SAP to join our North America team. In this strategic leadership role, you will leverage more than two decades of SAP expertise and industry knowledge to drive business growth, shape client solution roadmaps, and influence key technology decisions across complex enterprise environments. As a Service Line Sales Manager, you will collaborate closely with sales, consulting, and delivery teams to develop and position innovative SAP solutions that address client business challenges and accelerate digital transformation initiatives. You will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, helping them maximize the value of their SAP investments through scalable, future-ready solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end to end SAP service line solutioning for strategic accounts by defining value driven transformation journeys that align client objectives with the company portfolio of offerings and long-term business outcomes
  • Oversee qualification and shaping of large SAP opportunities by coordinating with consulting and delivery teams to create compelling proposals that highlight measurable operational efficiency and cost optimization for clients
  • Drive continuous improvement of SAP delivery frameworks by analyzing engagement data and feedback to refine methods accelerators and reusable assets that enhance quality consistency and time to value
  • Guide account teams in selecting the right SAP modules integration patterns and deployment approaches for each engagement to ensure scalable resilient and compliant solutions that support client growth strategies
  • Collaborate with sales and industry leaders to develop SAP go to market strategies that address sector specific challenges and demonstrate how technology enabled processes can contribute to sustainable economic and social progress
  • Provide expert advisory support during client workshops and design sessions by translating complex SAP capabilities into clear business narratives that help stakeholders make informed investment decisions
  • Coordinate hybrid delivery models across onsite and remote teams by setting expectations for collaboration communication and governance that maintain transparency and accountability throughout the project lifecycle
  • Mentor senior practitioners within the SAP practice by sharing knowledge on emerging trends and best practices so that the broader team can deliver consistent high-quality outcomes across multiple programs
  • Support risk management activities for major SAP engagements by anticipating integration data and changing adoption challenges and proposing pragmatic mitigation plans that protect client operations and brand reputation
  • Engage with client executives to articulate the strategic impact of SAP enabled transformation on productivity compliance and innovation ensuring that each initiative contributes to the company purpose of responsible digital advancement
  • Partner with solution architects to refine reference architectures for SAP landscapes that optimize performance security and interoperability with adjacent platforms thereby improving overall enterprise resilience
  • Coordinate with global teams to plan and execute required business travel in a thoughtful manner that strengthens client relationships enables effective stakeholder engagement and maintains continuity in hybrid work arrangements
  • Contribute to thought leadership by synthesizing lessons from complex SAP programs into concise viewpoints and internal guidance that help position the organization as a trusted advisor in enterprise transformation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrate extensive hands-on experience across core SAP modules and integration scenarios applying this background to design solutions that resolve intricate business process challenges for large enterprises
  • Bring strong proficiency in SAP implementation methodologies testing approaches and deployment practices enabling consistent delivery of stable reliable solutions in hybrid work environments
  • Apply deep understanding of industry specific SAP use cases and regulatory considerations to tailor configurations that support compliant operations and forward-looking business models for clients
  • Utilize excellent stakeholder management communication and negotiation skills to align diverse groups of business and technology participants around shared transformation objectives and measurable outcomes
  • Show proven capability to work in hybrid models by using structured collaboration practices and modern productivity tools to maintain continuity across onsite offshore and remote teams
  • Display readiness and ability to travel as needed for client workshops, governance meetings and critical project milestones ensuring that key decisions are informed by direct engagement and contextual understanding.

Certifications Required:

Preferred certifications include SAP Certified Technology Specialist or SAP Certified Application Professional in relevant SAP modules

Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring company sponsorship now or at any time in the future.

The annual salary for this position is between $240,000 - $260,000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
