Job#: 3031966 Job Description: Apex Systems is hiring Service Center Representatives for a large healthcare client. Location: Onsite in San Diego, CA Employment Type: 4-month contract with high possibility to extend or convert. Role Overview This position supports Medicare enrollment and billing administration through back-end data processing and account maintenance. The role involves heavy data entry, moving information between systems, and performing tasks related to billing, reconciliation, and reporting. While not a call-center role, it includes some outbound calls to members for application verification. Key Responsibilities: Perform back-end enrollment, billing, and data processing for Medicare administration. Conduct heavy data entry, moving data between different systems accurately. Set up and maintain member data, including enrollments, corrections, and terminations. Identify, research, and reconcile billing payment amounts to ensure accurate records. Interact with benefit administrators to answer questions and resolve problems related to membership and billing. Support eligibility inquiries and ensure bills are correct and mailed in a timely manner. Make occasional outbound calls to members to verify application information. Participate in team-based projects and contribute to operational improvement initiatives. Environment: This position requires mandatory on-site training for approximately seven weeks in the San Diego area. After successfully completing training and achieving proficiency targets, the role may become remote-eligible. Candidates must reside within a two-hour commute of the San Diego office. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Required Qualifications Demonstrated experience in a role requiring computer-based data input, such as insurance, finance, or banking. Proficiency in math, data entry, typing, spelling, and grammar. Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment and a successful customer service track record. Aptitude for diagnosing, analyzing, and solving a variety of problems. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, including comfort with occasional phone communication. Experience with PC Windows-based environments. Willingness to learn new tasks and adapt to changing business requirements and priorities. Preferred Qualifications Two years of experience in an accounting or finance-related field is preferred.
