About the Role
The Company is in search of a Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary to lead its Legal Division. This pivotal role involves providing strategic legal leadership and executive advisory at the highest levels of the institution. The successful candidate will be a trusted advisor on a wide range of legal, regulatory, and institutional matters, with a focus on anticipating and addressing emerging legal risks. Key responsibilities include serving as the primary legal advisor to the President, COO, Management Committee, and Board of Directors, as well as overseeing the Bank's ethics function and managing the Legal Division's team and external legal resources. The role also requires engagement at the Federal Reserve System level and a deep commitment to the mission and values of the organization.Applicants must have a Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school, be licensed to practice in Minnesota or have the ability to obtain admission, and have a minimum of 10 years of legal experience, with at least 5 years in a management role. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal matters relevant to a Federal Reserve Bank, including banking and financial regulation, employment law, and Federal Reserve Act compliance.
