Position Overview
Penda Aiken, Inc. is seeking an experienced
Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist to support and drive recruiting initiatives across healthcare, government, administrative, and professional staffing programs. This role serves as a key member of the Talent Acquisition team and is responsible for managing high-priority requisitions, building strategic talent pipelines, supporting client relationships, and contributing to recruiting operations and delivery performance.
The ideal candidate is a results-oriented staffing professional with experience working in fast-paced agency environments, managing multiple requisitions simultaneously, and developing innovative sourcing strategies to attract top talent.
This position is designed as a
Temp-to-Perm opportunity, with conversion to a full-time employee based on performance and business needs.
Key ResponsibilitiesFull-Cycle Recruitment- Manage the complete recruitment lifecycle from requisition intake through offer acceptance and onboarding.
- Source, screen, interview, and qualify candidates for healthcare, government, administrative, professional, and technical positions.
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans utilizing ATS databases, social media platforms, networking, referrals, and direct recruiting methods.
- Maintain active candidate pipelines for recurring and difficult-to-fill positions.
Talent Delivery & Client Support- Partner with hiring managers, account managers, and business development teams to understand client workforce needs.
- Provide consultative recruiting support and market intelligence to internal stakeholders.
- Ensure timely submission of qualified talent while maintaining quality standards.
- Participate in client calls, intake meetings, and staffing strategy discussions.
Leadership & Team Support- Serve as a resource and mentor for junior recruiters and recruiting coordinators.
- Share sourcing best practices, candidate engagement techniques, and market insights.
- Assist leadership with recruiting initiatives, training, onboarding, and process improvements.
- Promote a culture of accountability, professionalism, and high performance.
Reporting & Analytics- Track recruiting activity, pipeline metrics, and hiring outcomes.
- Maintain accurate ATS records and candidate documentation.
- Prepare recruiting reports and performance updates for leadership review.
- Analyze recruiting trends and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and fill rates.
Business Development Support- Assist in identifying opportunities within existing client accounts.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with talent communities and professional organizations.
- Represent Penda Aiken at networking events, career fairs, and industry conferences.
- Collaborate with business development teams to support growth initiatives and client expansion efforts.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of agency recruiting, staffing, talent acquisition, or workforce solutions experience.
- Experience recruiting for healthcare, government, professional, technical, or administrative positions.
- Strong candidate sourcing and networking skills.
- Experience utilizing applicant tracking systems and recruiting technologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple high-priority requisitions simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications- Healthcare staffing experience.
- NYS government contracting recruitment experience.
- Experience working within MSP/VMS environments.
- Knowledge of public-sector workforce contracting.
- Experience mentoring junior recruiters or leading recruiting projects.
- Proficiency with Bullhorn, LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed Resume, and other recruiting platforms.
