Summary
DataPath, Inc. is seeking a Senior System Engineer who is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing complex IT infrastructures, ensuring system reliability, security, and performance. The Senior Systems Engineer will handle the computer systems, including setting them up, making sure they work correctly and fixing things when they don't work properly.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Developing network architecture and system infrastructure • Monitoring all systems to ensure they're working correctly • Maintaining a thorough working knowledge of Tactical Network hardware and software systems as they relate to large-scale battlefield communications at all echelons • Troubleshooting inefficiencies and errors • Overseeing all work done on the computer systems • Working with managers to determine system needs
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor of Science and 15+ years of relevant experience as a System Engineer or performing System Engineer related activities. 5+ years in the Department of Defense supporting systems engineering technologies highly preferred. Must be familiar with and be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, reliable communication networks in dynamic, often military or field-based environments. Must be experienced with integrating existing infrastructures with new tactical network components. Experience with managing network connectivity between various platforms like ground vehicles, airborne assets, and command centers. The ability to break systems into major components and subcomponents and understand the interfaces between them. The need to design systems and components with a logical modular design with logical/standard interfaces to provide scalability and change when needed. Must be able to obtain DoD 8570/8410 IAT Level II.
Preferred Requirements:
• Experience as a System Engineer or performing System Engineer related activities • Familiarity with selecting appropriate network protocols and technologies for specific mission needs, including data link layers, routing protocols, and encryption mechanisms • Experience with testing methodologies for embedded systems, integration testing, and systems-level testing • Familiarity with utilization of simulation tools to analyze system performance under various scenarios • Experience with hardware interfacing

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time • Must occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may include delivering presentations; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
