Senior Supervisor, Facilities
Salary Range: $75,000-$85,000
The Senior Supervisor, Facilities leads the team responsible for building repairs, systems, and facilities work at SJJCC.
This position works alongside the Senior Supervisor, Maintenance, who oversees the team responsible for the day-to-day cleanliness, upkeep, and appearance of our facilities. Both positions report to the Senior Director, Facilities and work together to keep our buildings safe, clean, and well maintained.
This is a hands-on leadership role. The Senior Supervisor, Facilities leads the facilities team, identifies and solves problems, sets priorities, and makes sure work is completed. We are looking for someone who takes ownership, sees what needs to be done, and follows through from start to finish.
· Lead and supervise the facilities team.
· Assign and prioritize work and make sure it is completed correctly and on time.
· Identify building and repair needs and take action to address them.
· Perform and oversee plumbing, electrical, painting, and general repair work.
· Troubleshoot problems and determine the best way to fix them.
· Monitor building systems and equipment.
· Oversee preventative maintenance and routine repairs.
· Respond to urgent facilities issues when needed.
· Determine when work can be completed by the facilities team and when an outside vendor is needed.
· Coordinate with vendors and follow up to make sure work is completed.
· Research and order parts, tools, equipment, and supplies.
· Keep the Senior Director, Facilities informed of important issues and needs.
· Work closely with the Senior Director, Facilities on projects and the needs of our current and future buildings.
· Work closely with the Senior Supervisor, Maintenance to coordinate work across both teams.
· Make sure work is completed safely and work areas are kept organized.
· Strong experience with facilities and building repairs.
· Hands-on knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, painting, and general building maintenance.
· HVAC knowledge and experience strongly preferred.
· Experience leading or supervising a team.
· Self-starter with strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
· Able to work independently and take ownership of work from start to finish.
· Able to organize and prioritize multiple needs.
· Comfortable using a computer to research and order parts and supplies.
· Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency.
· Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Compensation details: 75000-85000 Yearly Salary
