They are committed to delivering innovative solutions and maintaining high standards in all aspects of their work.Job DescriptionDevelop physical design packages for AIS and GIS substations ranging from 12kV-500kV+. Produce detailed engineering drawings including general arrangement plans, plan and elevation views, equipment layouts, control building layouts, conduit and trench plans, grounding layouts, lightning protection plans, bus and rigid bus layouts, structural steel and foundation drawings. Prepare material take-offs (MTOs) and Bills of Material (BOMs). Coordinate physical design with Protection & Controls, Civil/Structural, Transmission Line, and Project Management teams. Perform site walkdowns and incorporate field conditions into design packages. Conduct QA/QC reviews to ensure compliance with client standards, NEC, NESC, IEEE, and utility specifications. Support construction by responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and incorporating as-built revisions. Lead design reviews with internal teams and clients. Experience designing utility substations from 69kV-500kV (higher voltage preferred). Strong knowledge of physical layout design, grounding systems, conduit and cable routing, bus design, equipment clearances, structural coordination. Experience supporting EPC, utility, or consulting engineering projects. Ability to read one-line diagrams, schematics, and equipment specifications.
