- Develop and contribute reusable reference architectures, patterns, and best-practice content for the SA community
- Mentor and develop fellow Solutions Architects, actively contributing to team capability growth
- Act as a Financial Services thought leader through public speaking, written content, and industry engagement on cloud and AI adoption
- Conduct training sessions (one-to-few and one-to-many) to transfer knowledge to customers evaluating or already using AWS
- Provide structured feedback to AWS service and product teams based on customer needs and gaps identified in the field
- Contribute to organizational strategic planning, recruiting, and the development of team-wide initiatives
This role may require travel of up to 30% to meet with customers and attend industry events. Travel expectations will be discussed during the interview process.
A day in the life
You will start your day engaging with a global Financial Services customer - perhaps leading a cloud architecture review for a core banking migration or a generative AI proof-of-concept. You"ll collaborate with AWS sales, specialist, and product teams to align on strategy and remove technical blockers. In the afternoon, you might contribute to a reference architecture document, mentor a fellow SA, or prepare a talk for an upcoming industry conference. No two days are the same, but every day involves deep technical work, customer impact, and cross-team collaboration.

It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter
