Required Qualifications: Senior Software Engineer
- Our client requires that candidates must have an active/current DoD Secret Personnel Clearance (PCL) to start, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
- Bachelors degree in a STEM field.
- Minimum 4 years of real-time embedded software development and/or software testing experience (or 2 years with a masters degree).
- Strong object-oriented design and C++ embedded software development skills.
- Experience with RTOS and/or bare-metal real-time application development.
- Knowledge of software engineering processes.
- Familiarity with Ethernet communications.
- Experience leading a small team of developers.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of EVMS and Control Account Manager/Work Package Manager responsibilities.
Position Summary: Senior Software Engineer
- Software lead supporting munitions programs within the clients Systems Combat Mission Systems organization.
- Responsible for overall software efforts on assigned contracts and work directives.
- Supports real-time embedded software development activities.
- Position consists of approximately 60% software design/development and 40% technical project leadership.
Responsibilities: Senior Software Engineer
- Lead software engineering efforts, including requirements analysis, architecture, design, implementation, integration, and testing.
- Manage software project execution, including technical, cost, and schedule performance.
- Support software verification planning, execution, debugging, and review activities.
- Ensure compliance with Software Quality Assurance and Software Configuration Management processes.
- Coordinate software safety activities with Safety Engineering.
- Oversee assigned work packages and project reporting activities.
- Plan software schedules, builds, and customer milestone reviews.
- Review software requirements and designs for compliance with customer and contractual requirements.
- Coordinate with software architects, engineering stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Manage project resources and communicate project status, metrics, risks, and opportunities.
- Ensure cybersecurity activities are coordinated within the software domain.
Preferred Qualifications: Senior Software Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Knowledge of software management processes.
- Knowledge of engineering development processes.
- Familiarity with CMMI and the clients Systems Life Cycle Management.
- Cybersecurity knowledge, including Risk Management Framework and Authority to Operate processes.
- Cybersecurity certification.
- Weapon systems and/or combat vehicle experience.
