Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, enhance, and maintain internal full-stack applications and data platforms. The role involves developing database-driven applications, APIs, application services, ETL pipelines, and web-based user interfaces. The engineer will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate requirements into scalable software solutions.
The successful candidate will independently solve complex technical problems, improve existing systems, support application performance, conduct code reviews, and provide technical guidance to other engineers.

Salary Range: $140k - $193k per annum

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, enhance, test, and maintain internal full-stack software applications and data platforms.
• Analyze business requirements, operational processes, and system-integration considerations to recommend appropriate technical solutions.
• Improve existing software processes and contribute to future-state system and application architecture.
• Develop and maintain relational databases, stored procedures, ETL pipelines, APIs, application services, and web-based user interfaces.
• Translate business and engineering requirements into technical designs, software implementations, and supporting documentation.
• Diagnose user-reported issues and perform root-cause analysis to identify and resolve software defects.
• Deliver application enhancements, performance improvements, and new software features.
• Develop and maintain application-design documents, technical specifications, test plans, and other software-engineering artifacts.
• Conduct application-performance analysis and recommend improvements to reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
• Participate in code reviews and provide actionable feedback on code quality, maintainability, security, and performance.
• Apply modern development practices, including source control, CI/CD, automated testing, and iterative delivery methodologies.
• Collaborate with engineers, business stakeholders, data teams, and other internal partners throughout the software-development lifecycle.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other team members.
• Use AI-assisted development tools and integrate AI-based services where appropriate.
• Perform other software-engineering responsibilities as required.

Skills & Abilities

• Strong understanding of software-engineering principles, application architecture, design patterns, and coding best practices.
• Experience developing full-stack applications across databases, APIs, application services, and web-based user interfaces.
• Strong experience with relational databases, SQL, stored procedures, and database-driven application development.
• Experience designing and maintaining ETL pipelines and data-processing workflows.
• Ability to independently analyze and resolve complex software, integration, database, and performance issues.
• Ability to design technical solutions when requirements or precedents are limited.
• Ability to evaluate multiple technical approaches and recommend practical solutions based on business and engineering needs.
• Experience with source-control systems, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and iterative development practices.
• Strong understanding of system integration, application performance, scalability, maintainability, and reliability.
• Ability to produce clear technical designs, test artifacts, system documentation, and implementation guidance.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to conduct code reviews, mentor engineers, and provide technical direction without direct authority.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of related software-engineering or application-development experience.
• Demonstrated experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining enterprise software applications.
• Strong experience working independently on complex technical assignments.
• Experience collaborating with business stakeholders and cross-functional engineering teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
• Equivalent directly related professional experience may be considered in place of a degree.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing full-stack applications involving relational databases, backend APIs, application services, and web-based user interfaces.
• Experience designing and supporting internal enterprise applications or engineering data platforms.
• Experience with ETL development, data integration, and database-performance optimization.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools for coding, debugging, testing, documentation, or code review.
• Experience integrating AI-based services or APIs into enterprise applications.
• Experience providing technical mentorship and reviewing software designs and code.
• Experience working in technology, engineering, enterprise software, hardware, or data-platform environments.
