Sitting on a quiet tree-lined street in Soho, twelve floors rise above the neighborhood’s storied lofts, boutiques, and galleries. The name derives from the particular manner of hospitality, one that feels more like staying at the home of a dear friend than at a hotel — discreet, refined, generous. Our hotel has 97 rooms and suites with four distinct F&B concepts led by an acclaimed chef. The street-side seafood restaurant and second floor cocktail bar will be venues that are open to the public. The Apartment and The Rooftop are spaces reserved exclusively for guests and friends of guests. 

 

Purpose of the Role:

The Manner, one of New York City’s most distinctive luxury lifestyle hotels, is seeking a dynamic Senior Sales Manager to drive group and corporate sales, with a strong focus on group business. This is responsible for new business development, meeting financial goals, and maximizing revenue across all segments. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of experience in a Sales Manager role, with a proven track record selling luxury travel within the corporate and group segments, and a strong ability to proactively generate new business, paired with a self-starter, entrepreneurial mindset.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Driving new business through prospecting, client visits, and strategic sales travel 
  • Building and managing a strong pipeline across corporate and group segments 
  • Leading compelling presentations and guiding opportunities from inquiry to close 
  • Owning assigned accounts and consistently meeting or exceeding revenue goals 
  • Managing RFP processes, negotiated rates, and corporate account development 
  • Partnering closely with Revenue Management and operations teams to ensure timely, seamless execution 
  • Coordinating site visits and delivering a polished, high-touch client experience 
  • Maintaining detailed CRM insights to support long-term relationship building 
  • Contributing to overall hotel performance across ADR, occupancy, and revenue 
  • This is a hands-on, entrepreneurial role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership, and is motivated to build meaningful client relationships while driving results. 
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

 

RESONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES:

  • Proactively develop new business through targeted outreach and sales travel
  • Qualify and convert inbound inquiries aligned with ADR, occupancy, and RevPAR goals 
  • Lead site inspections and client engagements to secure high-value business 
  • Execute a strategic sales plan aligned with revenue objectives 
  • Represent the property at industry events to expand market presence 
  • Monitor market trends and competitive positioning to inform strategy 
  • Grow and manage a portfolio of high-value accounts 
  • Provide clear reporting on pipeline, production, and sales activity 
  • Partner with Revenue Management to ensure profitable business mix

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a sales Manager or similar role within luxury hospitality 
  • Proven success driving corporate and group business within the hospitality sector
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills 
  • Highly organized with excellent time management and ability to prioritize 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite; experience with Opera, Lanyon, Hotel Intelligence, and Envision is a plus 
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and follow-through 
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus

 

Physical:

  • Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 15 lbs.
  • May require extended time in a seated position
  • Must be able to move throughout the property with ease.
Minimum: USD $85,000.00/Yr. Maximum: USD $95,000.00/Yr.
