Senior Risk Analyst (Risk Assessment Specialist II) Hybrid | Washington, DC | Top Secret Clearance Required If you are passionate about national security and want to help assess and mitigate chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and Explosives (CBRNE) threats facing the United States, we would love to talk. D&G is seeking an experienced Senior Risk Analyst -CBRNE to support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Policy CBRNE Office. In this role, you will help lead DHS efforts to assess, analyze, and communicate risks associated with weapons of mass destruction while supporting domestic and international partners in safeguarding the Nation against evolving CBRNE threats. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced national security professionals, develop innovative risk assessment methodologies, and produce analytical products that directly support senior government decision-makers. What You Will Do • Conduct risk assessments using established and emerging methodologies to evaluate threats posed by weapons of mass destruction. • Develop, document, and refine analytical methodologies while recommending process improvements that strengthen risk assessment capabilities. • Conduct background research and due diligence using open-source and classified information. • Prepare comprehensive risk assessment reports and analytical products. • Coordinate the review, quality assurance, and distribution of risk analysis products. • Develop standard operating procedures, case summaries, talking points, action memoranda, and other written products supporting CBRNE leadership. • Collaborate with government stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams to support mission objectives. • Present analytical findings and recommendations to support informed decision-making. What We Are Looking For • Bachelor's degree. • 5-7 years of relevant experience in risk analysis, intelligence analysis, national security, or a related field. • Experience developing analytical methodologies and conducting assessments that communicate and mitigate risk. • Strong analytical, research, and critical thinking skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce high-quality analytical products. • Ability to work effectively within collaborative, multidisciplinary teams. Preferred • Experience supporting the DHS Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) Office, Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), or other Department of Homeland Security organizations. • Experience using Tableau or similar data visualization tools. • Experience working with classified information and intelligence-based analytical products. • Familiarity with CBRNE threat analysis, homeland security, or national security risk assessment. Clearance and Eligibility • Active Top Secret security clearance required. • This role is restricted to U.S. person(s) (U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)). Location • Hybrid • Currently requires onsite support a minimum of two days per pay period (every two weeks) at the DHS Policy Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosives (CBRNE) office located on the St. Elizabeths Campus in Washington, DC. • This requirement may transition to full-time onsite based on government needs.
