Job Description
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Python Developer with 10+ years of software development experience and strong hands-on expertise in Python and AWS cloud technologies.
The ideal candidate will have experience designing, developing, and deploying scalable applications and services in cloud environments. The candidate should have a strong understanding of software architecture, API development, cloud-native applications, microservices, and DevOps practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable applications using Python.
- Develop RESTful APIs and backend services using Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
- Design and implement cloud-native solutions using AWS services.
- Develop scalable and secure applications using AWS compute, storage, database, networking, and messaging services.
- Work with AWS services such as Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, CloudWatch, and IAM.
- Develop and integrate APIs and microservices.
- Implement event-driven and serverless architectures where appropriate.
- Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-tested code.
- Develop unit tests and integration tests and ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
- Use Git and modern software development practices for source control and collaboration.
- Participate in architecture and technical design discussions.
- Troubleshoot application and production issues and provide effective solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, architects, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers and contribute to coding standards and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in software development.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience with Python.
- Strong experience developing enterprise-grade applications and backend services.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
- Experience with REST APIs and microservices architecture.
- Experience with Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
- Experience with NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB or MongoDB.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
- Strong experience with Git and modern development methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience working in large enterprise environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS certification is a plus.
- Experience with serverless architecture and AWS Lambda.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience with event-driven architecture.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
