Job Details
We’re looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead public-sector and municipal construction projects across Arizona: fire stations, police and public safety facilities, libraries, county and city government buildings, and specialty facilities such as evidence storage and medical examiner buildings. You’ll lead projects from preconstruction and design-phase consulting through construction and closeout.
We’re a full-service general contractor and construction manager. Our clients are long-term public partners who count on us to deliver quality buildings within tight public budgets and schedules. As a Senior PM, you’ll be the main point of contact for owners and design teams, and you’ll have a direct say in how projects are planned and delivered.
What you’ll do:
Lead municipal and public-sector projects from preconstruction through closeout, typically ground-up civic and public safety facilities
Provide pre-design and preconstruction consulting to owners and architects, including budgeting, constructability and value engineering
Develop GMPs, manage buyout and lead CMAR, design-build and hard-bid delivery
Manage budgets, cost reporting, change orders, pay applications and project financials
Build and maintain project schedules, and coordinate closely with superintendents in the field
Make sure public-sector requirements are met, including prevailing wage and certified payroll, DBE/SBE goals, inspections and documentation
Manage subcontractors, RFIs, submittals and closeout
Build lasting relationships with municipal and county clients that lead to repeat work
Mentor PMs, APMs and project engineers
What you bring:
8+ years of commercial construction project management experience with a general contractor
Public-sector or municipal project experience (fire stations, police facilities, libraries, government buildings or similar)
CMAR and/or design-build experience, including GMP development
Strong budget, scheduling and contract management skills
Excellent communication with public owners, architects and stakeholders
Proficiency with Procore, P6 or MS Project, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office
A bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field preferred
OSHA 30 and LEED AP a plus
