Senior Project Manager

This role requires experience managing large-scale IT infrastructure modernization and cloud migration initiatives involving significant application portfolios, multiple concurrent workstreams, application disposition activities, complex technical dependencies, and coordination with a large number of application owners and cross-functional technology teams. The IT Project Manager must have strong project management and leadership skills; a good understanding of information technology concepts and processes; and the ability to work with both business and IT leaders to support the deployment of complex technical solutions within business timelines.

The IT Project Manager is responsible for the management and delivery of large and medium complex IT projects to successful completion. This role is a key leader in the deployment of technical solutions to advance the corporate mission. The IT Project Manager must have strong project management and leadership skills; a good understanding of information technology concepts and processes; and the ability to work with both business and IT leaders to support the deployment of complex technical solutions within business timelines.

This is not a contract-to-hire role.

Hybrid schedule: 4 days in office, 1 day remote.
This role is required to abide by AZ core working hours (9am-4pm, AZ time).

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages all aspects of large, complex enterprise-wide software and infrastructure deployments.
Experience managing large-scale enterprise infrastructure modernization and cloud migration projects from planning through migration, deployment, stabilization, and transition to operations.
Experience managing application disposition activities across large application portfolios, including coordinating migration, modernization, retention, and retirement decisions with application and technology owners.
Experience coordinating with a large number of application owners to establish migration requirements, dependencies, readiness, timelines, and disposition plans.
Experience managing multiple concurrent infrastructure and application migration workstreams with complex technical dependencies, competing priorities, and shared resources.
Experience coordinating delivery across cross-functional technology teams including application, infrastructure, cloud, architecture, network, security, database, testing, operations, and external vendors.
Extensive experience developing and managing integrated project schedules across infrastructure and application migration workstreams, including milestones, dependencies, critical paths, resource constraints, and migration dates.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong collaboration skills.
Works closely with business and IT leaders to define the vision, scope, and delivery timelines for technical deliverables.
Experience creating and presenting detailed internal and external status reports and tailoring reports appropriately for presentation to the Executive Level.
Minimum of 8 years of experience managing successful, large-scale complex information technology projects.
Extensive experience in developing and maintaining detailed project schedules.
Experience managing system development efforts including all aspects of software development lifecycle, hardware and software integration, testing and deployment.
Experience managing migration readiness, infrastructure readiness, application dependencies, testing, cutover activities, deployment coordination, and post-migration stabilization.
Experience identifying, tracking, and managing dependencies between applications, infrastructure platforms, cloud environments, networks, security, databases, and other shared technology services.
Leadership experience managing IT project budgets in the range of *** to *** million.
Ability to analyze complex problems, interpret operational needs, and develop creative solutions in a technical environment.
Knowledge of PMBOK project management concepts and their application to management of large IT projects.
Experience with vendor and contract management.
Experience managing multiple internal and external technology delivery partners and holding infrastructure teams, application owners, vendors, and other stakeholders accountable for project commitments.
Experience with user acceptance testing methodologies and documentation.
Experience in delivering the project within the agreed schedule, to the correct technical specification, within the approved budget and other specified criteria.
Experience with meeting facilitation and gathering requirements.
Ability to lead the project team and effectively conduct the project to meet project objectives.
Experience working in multi-client and multi-vendor environments.
Ability to influence others and hold accountable without direct authority.
Ability to proactively identify, manage, and escalate infrastructure risks, application dependencies, migration blockers, resource constraints, and decisions that could impact migration schedules.
Supports work estimation process in support of development activities.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor s degree in Business, IT or related field.
Experience working in a Project Management Office.
Project Management Institute (PMP) certification preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of experience managing complex enterprise-level and/or multi-departmental projects to completion.
Minimum of 8 years of experience with industry-standard project management and service delivery methodologies for IT (SDLC, Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, Lean/Six Sigma, OCM, PMBOK or ITIL a plus).
Demonstrated experience leading large-scale enterprise infrastructure modernization and/or cloud migration projects.
Demonstrated experience coordinating application disposition and migration activities across a large portfolio of enterprise applications.
Demonstrated experience working with and coordinating a large number of application owners, technology owners, and infrastructure teams throughout migration planning and execution.
Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent migration workstreams and complex dependencies across application, infrastructure, cloud, security, network, database, and operational teams.
Demonstrated experience developing and managing complex integrated schedules, migration waves, cross-team dependencies, risks, issues, and critical project milestones.
Experience leading infrastructure and application migrations through readiness assessment, planning, testing, cutover, stabilization, and transition to operational support.
Experience managing enterprise cloud migration initiatives preferred.
