Job Title: Senior Project Manager
Duration: 6+ Months
Location: Harrisburg, PA- Hybrid

Work Arrangement: On-site approximately 1 day per month, with additional on-site days as required
 
Project Overview
Seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and manage large, high-priority IT projects, including SaaS implementation, application enhancements, business process re-engineering, and technology development initiatives. The PM will be responsible for driving projects from planning through implementation while ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
 
Important: Candidates must have an active PMI PMP certification for at least 5 years and must be able to provide a copy of the active certification.  Must Reside in Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead projects through planning, design, development, testing, implementation, and post-implementation activities.
  • Develop and maintain detailed Project Management Plans, schedules, estimates, budgets, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Track project progress, budget, resources, risks, issues, dependencies, and corrective actions.
  • Maintain RAID logs and develop risk mitigation strategies through closure.
  • Coordinate cross-functional IT teams, vendors, business stakeholders, and technical teams.
  • Lead project status meetings, reviews, presentations, and stakeholder communications.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly status reports, project metrics, dashboards, and executive updates.
  • Manage scope changes through established change management processes.
  • Coordinate system testing, training, implementation, and deployment activities.
  • Ensure compliance with PMO standards, methodologies, processes, and governance requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related issues and facilitate resolution.
  • Mentor junior project management staff when required.
 
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of relevant Project Management experience.
  • Active PMP certification with a minimum of 5 years through PMI.
  • Must be a current Pennsylvania resident.
  • Ability to work in Harrisburg, PA office approximately 1 day per month, with additional on-site work as required.
  • Strong experience managing complex IT projects through the full project lifecycle.
  • Experience with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk/issue management, stakeholder management, and reporting.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience implementing SaaS solutions.
  • Strong background in Public Health, particularly Drug and Alcohol Programs.
  • Experience working with government/public-sector IT projects.
  • Experience with enterprise application implementation, business process re-engineering, or system enhancements.
  • Experience coordinating vendors and cross-functional technical teams.
