Description

Senior Project Manager

Description of Duties
  • Provide program-level leadership for incorporating Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications and solutions into organizational areas of business and IT operations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of an AI roadmap, strategic AI initiatives, and general AI program management.
  • Provide AI strategic management for the implementation of selected AI solutions within the business and IT organizations.
  • Assist in defining the long-term AI operating model, including organizational roles, responsibilities, governance structures, and processes necessary to sustain AI capabilities.
  • Facilitate collaboration between business units and Information Technology to ensure successful implementation of AI initiatives.
  • Provide strategic guidance regarding AI technology platforms, vendor evaluations, procurement activities, and implementation approaches. This position will work in collaboration with the TIM team.
  • Recommend workforce development strategies, training plans, and operating models to support long-term AI capabilities within the Commission.
  • Provide management oversight for a portfolio of projects, ensuring alignment with long-term strategic objectives.
  • Develop an AI program strategy focused on aligning programs with organizational goals and perform gap analysis to identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide high-level project oversight to ensure projects contribute to broader objectives and facilitate communication between executives, teams, and partners.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving current process bottlenecks and optimizing resource utilization.
  • Ability to work independently to accomplish the tasks and duties assigned.
  • Carry out all work in adherence to the standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Utilize various software and/or technology tools to perform job duties.
  • Perform tasks and other duties as assigned.

Desired Skillset
Minimum Experience
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in information technology, project management, and contract negotiations
  • 10+ years of experience in providing consulting and oversight for business-process change management dealing with integration of new technologies into the business environment.
  • Proven track record using ITIL4, the Prosci ADKAR model, or the Agile Change Management Methodology for change management implementation during prior engagements.
  • 3+ years of experience in the integration of AI solutions in business and IT environments.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office 365 suite of business software including Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
Certifications / Education
  • Bachelor's degree in business management, information systems, or related fields.
  • Project Management Professional, Six Sigma, ITIL4, and cybersecurity certifications are a plus.
  • Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be accepted.
