Description

Our client, a Commercial Banking company, is looking for a Project Manager for their Atlanta, GA/Hybrid location.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Plans and coordinates closely with business/function area managers and cross functional subject matter experts and key project team members to drive project activities and issue resolution.
  • Ensures that project activities are on a path to deliver benefits realization.
  • Installs an appropriate risk management plan for the project and ensures adherence to company and unit requirements.
  • Follow client PMLC methodology, risk management routines, and project governance activities (working closely with Risk Program Portfolio Lead and Lead Business partners).
  • Proactively works to engage key stakeholders to understand and mitigate any cross team concerns/differences and leads group discussions to develop a resolution path to keep project activities on-schedule with appropriate risk mitigation.
  • Leads teams or multiple teams of internal and/or external resources on a project basis.
  • Manages project budget forecast and actuals in accordance with finance and reporting routines and methodologies.
  • Creates, maintains, analyzes and collectively manages variances to the project schedules and makes recommendation and/or creates action plan to mitigate negative variances or to resolve issues.
  • Prepares dashboard reporting to identify and communicate the health of the project for use by key executives (in alignment with existing project governance routines).
  • Prepares documentation/presentations to support overall workstream efforts and internal reporting routines, as needed
  • Proactively engages key stakeholders to plan, manage, and risk mitigate key items and critical path activities.
  • Technical Coordination / Support.  Provide hands-on support to delivery teams (tracking deliverables, coordinating SMEs, ensuring follow-through). 
  • Support issue resolution, defect tracking, and backlog management.  Assist with environment coordination, releases, and readiness activities
  • Assist in the identification of change introduced by the project and coordinated with appropriate teams for planning and executing on readiness plans: 
  • Client Communications, Teammate Communications, and Teammate Training.  
 
Requirements:
  • Experienced in driving complex projects with large internal and vendor resource teams, through all phases of a tech development lifecycle.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage complex projects and initiatives, including multiple business partners across different areas as well as large / complex data sets; demonstrated organization skills.
  • Proven stakeholder relationship building skills to engage and drive cross team collaboration at the project member and senior management stakeholder levels. 
  • Ability to communicate project status with equal effectiveness at all leadership and team member levels from both a project execution and business progression terms. 
  • Ability to create and drive multiple project/workstream schedules in parallel.
  • Experience with technical Agile / hybrid delivery models, ServiceNow, Rally, Clarity, or similar tools.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project or similar project management platforms.
  • Ability to translate conversations with process owners and stakeholders into effective plans, project objectives, and schedules to achieve expected project outcomes.           
  • Background in Accounting and Finance in a project management role.
  • Experience in Regulatory Reporting and/or Risk Weighted Assets.
  • Financial institution transformative program and/or project management experience.
  • Experience with AxiomSL Reg Reporting solutions
  • Prior experience with system and user acceptance test planning activities.
  • Experience with data strategy development and execution.
  • PMP certification.
