Position Introduction: The Office of the Senior Vice President and Provost seeks a Senior Program Coordinator to coordinate and oversee academic initiatives. Exceptional organizational abilities and communication skills are crucial for success in this role.
Duties: - Awards.
- Coordinate annual faculty awards process for OU Norman Campus.
- Review nomination materials for accuracy and completeness prior to distribution to evaluation committees.
- Serve as staff coordinator and support for faculty award evaluation committees.
- Prepare documents and support materials to facilitate the annual award process.
- Maintain the faculty awards website for Norman Campus.
- Work closely with units and stakeholders to facilitate the annual award ceremonies.
- Manage the honorary degree award process for the Provost's Office in Norman, (scheduling meetings, drafting documents, etc.).
- Provide programming support for the staff and graduate student awards sponsored by the Provost's Office.
- Communications.
- Create, update, and distribute memos and forms from the Provost's Office to campus stakeholders.
- Manage the Provost's Office memos and forms deadline calendar.
- Update information on the Provost's Office website.
- Councils and Committees.
- Maintain committee rosters for university councils and committees.
- Coordinate with Faculty and Staff Senates to fill vacancies.
- Transmit changes in committee membership to stakeholders
- Administrative Support.
- Provide administrative support for the Provost's Office: schedule meetings, research issues, prepare documents, answer phones, assist with travel arrangements, and perform other organizational tasks for the Office.
- Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.
Skills: - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word).
- Must be detail oriented for accuracy of data and information.
- Ability to consistently meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Ability and willingness to learn new systems and processes.
- Willingness to work closely with campus leaders and partners across campus to manage projects and solve problems.
