Senior Optical System Engineer

We are looking for an excellent and motivated Optical System Engineer to join our team, with his/her main roles being:

• Full ownership of PxE's camera electro-optics.
• Innovate, design and test new concepts involving optics, holography and algorithms.
• Overall image quality and system performance metrics.
• Perform complex experiments integrating HW, SW and algorithms.
• Develop PxE's Active Alignment process.
• Ownership of camera calibration processes.
• Define and validate HW technical requirements.
• Supply chain and vendor selection
• Tackle end-to-end experiments and demonstrations.
• Troubleshoot and debug a wide range of problems.

Requirements:

• Advanced degree in physics/EE/equivalent (M.Sc. or higher)

• 'Figure-stuff-out' and 'get-stuff-done' approach. Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

• Excellent collaboration capabilities + ability to work independently.

• Experience in:

• Hands-on optics lab work

• System engineering

• Image analysis and processing - advantage

• Fluent in Python

• Industry experience - strong advantage
