Are you an experienced Medical Assistant who is highly confident with blood draws and vaccines—and ready to take greater ownership of a clinic?

Join a professional onsite employee health clinic in downtown San Francisco. You will remain hands-on with patients while helping coordinate daily patient flow, referrals, supplies, scheduling, and clinic readiness.

This is one opening with two possible qualification routes: experienced Medical Assistant or California LVN. You do not need both qualifications, and you do not need to have previously held a formal “lead” title.

Why This Role

  • A predictable full-time weekday schedule with no evenings, weekends, or on-call.
  • A professional outpatient setting serving employees within a corporate workplace.
  • Hands-on patient care combined with meaningful ownership of daily clinic operations.
  • A strong next step for an experienced Medical Assistant ready to grow into a lead role.
  • Convenient downtown access by BART, Muni, Transbay buses, ferry service, and Caltrain connections.
  • 401(k) benefits with generous employer matching.

What You Will Do

  • Welcome and room patients, obtain vital signs, and document intake information.
  • Perform venipuncture, specimen collection and handling, point-of-care testing, and EKGs within documented competency.
  • Administer vaccines under applicable orders, authorization, training, and required supervision.
  • Coordinate patient flow, appointments, referrals, follow-up records, and routine clinic logistics.
  • Keep examination rooms, supplies, inventory, equipment, and expiration-date records organized and ready.
  • Help orient PRN staff and new hires to site workflows, maintain accurate EHR and operational records, and promptly communicate patient-safety or workflow concerns.

What You Need

  • One qualifying route: completion of Medical Assistant education or training meeting applicable California requirements, with demonstrated competency for assigned duties; or an active, unrestricted California Licensed Vocational Nurse license. CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, and other recognized Medical Assistant certifications are welcomed.
  • At least three years of Medical Assistant, LVN, or comparable outpatient clinical experience.
  • Strong, current hands-on phlebotomy experience and the ability to perform blood draws confidently without retraining, within the supervision applicable to your role.
  • Vaccine-administration experience and documentation of the training and competency required for assigned duties.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification.
  • Experience with patient intake, vital signs, specimen handling, EKGs, point-of-care testing, and routine clinical support.
  • Ability to reliably commute to San Francisco, CA 94105 for the full scheduled shift.

Helpful, Not Required

  • Previous lead, coordinator, site-operations, training, or workflow-improvement experience. A formal lead title is not required.
  • Primary care, occupational health, employee health, or corporate health experience.
  • Experience coordinating referrals, scheduling, patient follow-up, supplies, or clinic workflows.
  • Comfort with EHR systems and standard office technology.

California LVN Applicants

California LVNs with comparable hands-on clinical and clinic-coordination experience are encouraged to apply. The LVN compensation range is $80,000–$90,000 per year. LVN applicants must have an active, unrestricted California license, at least three years of relevant clinical experience, and experience administering vaccines and medications within LVN scope.

Clinical Scope and Supervision

Medical Assistants perform permitted technical-support services within their documented training and competency. Injections and vaccine administration require appropriate written authorization and legally required onsite supervision. Medical Assistants do not independently assess, diagnose, or make treatment decisions. LVNs work within their California license, applicable orders, and required clinical direction. The licensed clinical team retains responsibility for clinical decisions and supervision.

How to Apply

Apply with your resume and make your Medical Assistant or LVN qualification, recent blood-draw experience, vaccine experience, and examples of clinic ownership or coordination clear. We review applications as they arrive and schedule interviews promptly.
