Overview:
Are you passionate about designing custom automation and material handling systems that solve real-world manufacturing challenges? We're seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and development of innovative automation, conveyor, and custom machinery projects from concept through implementation.
Job Duties:
- Lead mechanical design efforts for custom automation and material handling systems
- Create detailed SolidWorks designs, fabrication drawings, and engineering documentation
- Collaborate with project management, manufacturing, and customer teams to ensure successful project execution
- Specify mechanical components including motors, gearboxes, bearings, and structural systems
- Provide technical support during machine builds, installations, and troubleshooting
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical design experience in automation, conveyor systems, material handling, or custom machinery
- Advanced SolidWorks proficiency
- Experience creating manufacturing and fabrication drawings
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, fabrication processes, and machine design
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced engineering environment
