    Senior Manager Sales Operations Americas

    Summary

Hexagon is a global leader in measurement technologies. From microns to Mars, we measure what matters for the future.

Hexagon's Manufacturing Intelligence division helps manufacturers use data throughout the product lifecycle-from design and engineering to production and metrology-to make manufacturing smarter, more efficient, and more connected. Our technologies support organizations across a wide range of industries as they work to improve quality, accelerate innovation, and optimize their operations.

    Job Responsibilities

Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence's Production Software Division delivers production and quality solutions that help manufacturers accelerate innovation, improve productivity, and confidently bring their ideas to life. As Senior Manager, Sales Operations - Americas, you will lead the regional Sales Operations function supporting Production Software, enabling a predictable and scalable commercial engine through disciplined processes, effective systems, reliable data, and strong controls. You will lead managers and professional staff across order management, quoting and booking, deal desk, and related commercial support, partnering closely with Sales, Finance, Legal, Supply Chain, IT, and other teams to strengthen cross-functional handoffs and improve the seller and customer experience. The scope includes establishing operating objectives and KPIs, managing capacity through seasonal peaks, and driving continuous improvement through standardized ways of working and automation across the Americas.

    Why Join Us

    • Make an impact: Improve the commercial processes that turn customer demand into successful, accurate transactions.
    • Improve how we work: Simplify processes, remove friction, and build scalable ways of working across the Americas.
    • Lead and develop talent: Build a high-performing Sales Operations organization with clear accountability and career growth.
    • Work across the business: Partner with Sales, Finance, Legal, IT, Supply Chain, and other teams to solve complex commercial challenges.

    About the Role

You will translate commercial strategy into operational plans and guide execution across multiple workstreams, establishing clear ownership, approvals, and service expectations. You will use operational and financial data to prioritize improvements and investment, and you will develop team capability to support Production Software's growth and increasingly sophisticated commercial models. The role manages through subordinate managers and experienced professionals; decisions directly impact short-term results and require influence across multiple functions.

    What You''ll Do

    Lead Sales Operations

    • Lead the Americas Production Software Sales Operations organization (order management, quoting/booking, deal desk, and commercial support).
    • Establish clear operating processes, service-level expectations, controls, and KPIs that support accurate and timely commercial execution.
    • Manage capacity and priorities to support business needs, including seasonal and quarter/year-end volume.
    • Monitor operational performance and resolve issues affecting order accuracy, cycle time, customer experience, or revenue timing.

    Optimize Commercial Processes

    • Partner across the business to improve flow from opportunity through quote, approval, booking, and fulfillment handoff.
    • Establish clear ownership and cross-functional handoffs with Sales, Finance, Legal, Supply Chain, and other teams.
    • Identify root causes of delays, rework, errors, and manual activity; lead improvements that increase speed, quality, and efficiency.
    • Standardize processes across countries and channels where practical, while meeting legitimate local requirements.
    • Use operational data and business insight to prioritize improvements and measure outcomes.

    Support Complex Commercial Transactions

    • Oversee deal desk support for complex and non-standard software transactions, including subscription, multi-year, bundled, discounted, and custom-term deals.
    • Partner with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Product on commercial structures that balance customer needs with margin, risk, and financial requirements.
    • Establish clear approval processes and escalation paths that enable timely decisions with appropriate governance.
    • Provide commercial guidance and escalation support to Sales leadership on complex transactions.

    Drive Systems and Continuous Improvement

    • Represent Americas Production Software business requirements for Salesforce, CPQ, SAP, HCP, and related commercial systems and workflows.
    • Partner with IT and business systems teams to define requirements, prioritize enhancements, test solutions, and support adoption.
    • Drive automation, self-service, and system controls that reduce manual work and prevent errors.
    • Maintain a prioritized improvement roadmap based on business impact, customer and seller experience, and operational need.

    Build a High-Performing Team

    • Lead, coach, and develop Sales Operations managers and professionals.
    • Set clear performance expectations, create accountability, and run regular operating reviews.
    • Build organizational capability through onboarding, development, cross-training, succession planning, and career development.
    • Foster a culture focused on customer service, continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability.

    Qualifications

    Must Have

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or related field; or equivalent relevant experience.
    • 8+ years of progressive experience in sales operations, commercial operations, order management/deal desk/order-to-cash, including meaningful people-leadership experience.
    • Demonstrated experience leading commercial or sales-support operations in a complex software, technology, or industrial environment.
    • Strong understanding of quoting, pricing, approvals, booking, order management, and fulfillment handoffs.
    • Experience supporting complex and non-standard commercial transactions, including software/subscription arrangements.
    • Proven success improving commercial processes with measurable gains in cycle time, accuracy, efficiency, or customer/seller experience.
    • Strong analytical and commercial judgment; ability to use operational and financial data to prioritize improvements and make decisions.
    • Demonstrated ability to influence across Sales, Finance, Legal, IT, Supply Chain, and other functions in a matrixed organization.

    Nice to Have

    • Experience with Salesforce, CPQ, SAP, or comparable CRM/ERP and commercial platforms.
    • Background supporting software and subscription/SaaS commercial models.
    • Experience working across multiple countries within the Americas or in a global organization.
    • Track record leading CPQ/ERP/workflow or broader commercial-process transformations.
    • Experience with Lean Six Sigma, process mining, automation, or other structured continuous-improvement methods
