Basic qualifications:
· Performs all duties of the Plant Engineering Technician. · Perform installation and maintenance on production and facilities equipment including mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and electronic systems and components. · Analyze or interpret manuals, prints, wiring diagrams, schematics and other technical documents. · Identifies root causes of equipment failures and makes lasting repairs. · Perform assigned TPM tasks and assist in identifying needed TPM tasks and frequency adjustments. · Interface with PLC’s to diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions, understand ladder logic, reload and verify programs, operations and interlocks if required. · Operate, monitor and respond to HVAC system problems including large chiller operation. · Understands and performs work within the Company Safety Management System (CSMS) policies. · Consult with factory equipment representatives to resolve complex, recurring or abnormal issues. · Perform high precision mechanical assembly and repair (tolerances <0.010"). · Perform MIG welding as required on carbon steel. · Perform brazing as required. · Handle and properly dispose of trash and waste streams including hazardous wastes. · Practice 6S and comply with all safety rules, guidelines and safe working practices. · Safely operate material handling and lifting equipment such as overhead cranes, forklifts, pallet jacks, motorized scissor lifts and work platforms. · Assist in training of new employees including improving individual skills as well as assisting in the development of training materials. · Actively assist in troubleshooting and implementation of corrective actions. · Assist other areas as needed. · Works with Manufacturing, EHS, and Manufacturing Control to design, fabricate and/or procure tools used for manufacturing. · Support and assist the Plant Engineering and Maintenance Manager as needed. · Understand and work under the direction of the appropriate Hyosung HICO policy and/or procedure. · Know Hyosung HICO’s Quality and Environmental Policies. Be able to fully discuss the importance of these policies and how they impact work. . Advance electrical and mechanical knowledge. Overhead crane maintenance experience preferred. |
