Maintenance Sr Technician

Location: Columbia, MO

Onsite Flexibility: Onsite

Contract Details

  • Position Type: Contract
  • Contract Duration: 3 months
  • Pay Rate: $25.00 $26.00 / Hour (USD)
  • Shift / Schedule: Monday Friday, 7:00 AM 3:30 PM; some overtime may be available

Job Summary

As a Maintenance Sr. Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining medium to large-sized buildings, industrial systems, and equipment. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function, responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
  • Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.
  • Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
  • Assign work orders and estimate the time and materials needed to complete repairs.
  • Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently.
  • Inspect new installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
  • Have some knowledge of standard principles with limited practical experience in applying them.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
  • Impact the quality of own work.
  • Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
  • Exchange straightforward information, ask questions, and check for understanding.
  • Complete daily work orders including PMs and RMs.
  • Perform light electrical work.
  • Perform basic plumbing.
  • Perform general maintenance tasks.
  • Perform basic HVAC work.
  • Perform waste removal.
  • Assemble furniture.

  • Commercial HVAC experience is a huge plus

Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma required; in lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered
  • HVAC certifications highly preferred
  • Plumbing certifications preferred

Required Experience

  • 3 years of job-related experience
  • 2 3 years of job-related experience in a related maintenance role (per role requirements)

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

  • Candidate will be working in a call center / client critical environment
  • Candidate will be working as part of a team
  • Must be able to do a lot of walking throughout the day
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more
  • Overtime may be available

  • Background package: CBRE Safety Specific with drug screen required
  • Conversion to permanent employment is possible (salary TBD)
  • Interview process: 1st round virtual with Hiring Manager; 2nd round virtual with Hiring Manager and Facility Manager
