    Position Summary

    The Community Sales Director partners closely with the Executive Director, and Regional Sales support to achieve and exceed occupancy goals. This role is responsible for generating qualified leads, conducting tours, converting prospects to move-ins, maintaining referral relationships, and implementing effective sales and marketing strategies that maximize community census.

    Key Responsibilities

    Sales & Occupancy Growth

    • Achieve and exceed monthly move-in and occupancy goals
    • Conduct professional tours for prospective residents and families
    • Meet with prospects in the community, their homes, or other approved locations
    • Manage the sales process from inquiry through move-in
    • Maintain an active and meaningful waitlist
    • Track performance metrics and support monthly commission reporting
    • Ensure positive net occupancy growth whenever possible

    Relationship Building & Community Outreach

    • Develop strong referral relationships with healthcare providers, community organizations, and local influencers
    • Conduct ongoing outreach efforts within the surrounding market
    • Follow up promptly on all inquiries, walk-ins, phone calls, and referrals
    • Maintain exceptional customer service with residents, families, and professional partners

    Marketing & Events

    • Plan and execute community events, seminars, educational programs, family nights, and themed experiences
    • Support development and implementation of quarterly marketing plans
    • Coordinate local marketing initiatives and community awareness campaigns
    • Perform competitive market analyses as needed

    Leadership & Collaboration

    • Partner with community leadership to achieve budget and occupancy targets
    • Collaborate with operational teams to ensure a smooth resident transition
    • Communicate special resident needs to appropriate departments
    • Assist with onboarding, coaching, and performance management of sales team members as requested
    • Participate in weekend sales coverage and tours when needed

    Qualifications

    Required

    • Minimum 4 years of successful sales experience with a demonstrated record of lead generation and closing results
    • Strong consultative selling, networking, and relationship-building skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
    • Strong organizational and project management skills
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/database systems
    • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
    • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
    • Passion for serving seniors and their families

    Preferred

    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred
    • Senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or related sales experience
