Senior Litigation Legal Secretary

This opportunity is designed for an accomplished litigation professional who can confidently manage the day-to-day demands of a busy legal practice. You will work closely with a small attorney team handling sensitive matters and serve as a trusted resource responsible for keeping deadlines, filings, calendars, documents, and administrative priorities moving forward.

We are looking for someone who doesn't simply wait for the next assignment; you anticipate what needs to happen next.

What You'll Do:

• Prepare, revise, proofread, and format pleadings, correspondence, discovery documents, and other legal materials with exceptional accuracy.
• Prepare and electronically file documents in California state and federal courts.
• Maintain litigation calendars and independently track filing deadlines, hearings, depositions, court appearances, and other critical dates.
• Coordinate attorney calendars, client meetings, depositions, court appearances, and case-related appointments.
• Maintain accurate, organized, and accessible electronic and physical case files.
• Assist with trial preparation, including exhibits, trial binders, document organization, and other case materials.
• Manage incoming correspondence, telephone calls, and case-related communications with professionalism and discretion.
• Monitor upcoming deadlines and priorities, proactively communicating with attorneys and team members to ensure matters remain on track.
• Handle confidential and sensitive client and case information with sound judgment.
• Provide high-level administrative and litigation support as the needs of the practice evolve.

What We're Looking For:

The strongest candidates will bring a combination of litigation knowledge, technical proficiency, excellent judgment, and an exceptional level of organization.

Qualifications include:

• 4+ years of legal secretary or comparable litigation-support experience preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of California litigation procedures, court rules, filing requirements, and deadline management.
• Demonstrated experience with state and federal electronic court filing.
• Strong litigation calendaring and deadline-management experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat, with the ability to quickly learn and navigate legal case-management systems.
• Exceptional proofreading, formatting, grammar, and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities without sacrificing accuracy.
• A proactive working style and the ability to anticipate attorney and case needs.
• Excellent professional judgment, discretion, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to thrive within a small, collaborative team where accountability, responsiveness, and reliability are essential.

Personal injury experience is preferred but not required. Candidates with sophisticated litigation-support experience in other practice areas are encouraged to apply.

Spanish-language proficiency is a plus.
