Key Responsibilities
- R&D Leadership: Guide, mentor, and professionally develop junior engineers while fostering a collaborative, deep-thinking technical culture.
- Project & Budget Management: Direct major custom engineering programs and product development pipelines, managing financial budgets, timelines, and stage-gate design reviews.
- Technical Execution: Provide "hands-on" mechanical engineering expertise to develop advanced, practical solutions for physical test and measurement machinery.
- Continuous Improvement: Work seamlessly across electro-mechanical systems to solve assembly challenges and implement optimization ideas for previously released products.
- Global Support: Maintain technical mastery over all core product offerings to effectively support internal teams and global customer sites.
Position Requirements
- Education: Degree from a 4-year secondary education program in a highly technical engineering or scientific discipline.
- Experience: Five years of hands-on experience in equipment design, machine integration, parts engineering, or industrial equipment development. Proven experience successfully leading teams and managing project budgets/timelines is required.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) and adept at generating comprehensive technical reports.
- Core Attributes: Action-oriented, detail-driven, and highly analytical. Must possess excellent communication skills to present effectively to internal stakeholders and global customers. (Note: Candidates must present case studies of past successful projects.)
