Job Summary

We have a well-established and experienced development team and are looking to bring on Java Developer to complement our existing talent. The ideal candidate is passionate about Java development, eager to learn, and ready to contribute to real-world enterprise applications from day one. You will be supported and mentored by our senior developers as you grow your skills across Spring Web, Spring Batch, Kafka, and microservices. We embrace a modern, AI-assisted development culture and encourage our developers to leverage the latest AI tools to boost productivity and code quality.

Job Description/ Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Spring Web and Spring Batch applications.
• Support integration efforts with Kafka and other messaging systems.
• Contribute to microservices development and distributed system concepts.
• Take ownership of assigned tasks and deliver features within agreed timelines.
• Participate in code reviews and apply feedback to improve quality.
• Assist in debugging and troubleshooting production or testing issues.
• Maintain technical documentation for features developed.
• Utilize AI-powered tools (GitHub Copilot, etc.) for code generation, debugging, and documentation.

Required Skills & Experience

• Basic to intermediate proficiency in Java and familiarity with the Spring Framework.
• Understanding of OOP, data structures, and design patterns.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web service interactions.
• Basic experience with Git or other version control tools.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to Kafka or other messaging systems.
• Awareness of microservices architecture or distributed systems.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms (AWS).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines or DevOps practices.

Added Advantage – AI-Assisted Development

• Experience using GitHub Copilot or similar AI coding assistants.
• Leveraging AI for code reviews, test case generation, documentation, and debugging.
• Comfort with adopting new AI models and tools to enhance productivity.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 10 years of relevant Java development experience (internships and academic projects considered).
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.) is a bonus.
