The organization requires a Senior Java Developer to support both middle-tier server development and presentation-tier development. The role spans user interfaces through database layers and emphasizes robust, high-performance web applications with close collaboration across teams.

Rate: $60.00 to $65.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with Business Analysts to translate business requirements into technical designs.
- Develop, test, and maintain high-quality source code across the full stack.
- Create and execute unit tests and support functional and system integration testing.
- Participate in deployment activities and provide production support as needed.
- Design and integrate application components for seamless interoperability.
- Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, maintainability, and security standards.
Experience Requirements:
Experience Requirements
- 5+ years developing web-based applications using Java/J2EE technologies.
- Core Java expertise including multi-threading and Executor framework.
- Proficiency with Spring, Spring MVC, Hibernate, and MyBatis.
- Experience building and integrating RESTful web services.
- Front-end experience with JavaScript, JSP, CSS, HTML, Angular, and modern JS libraries such as jQuery.
- Working knowledge of AJAX, XML/XSLT, and JSON.
- Experience with application servers including JBoss, Apache, and Tomcat.
- Strong SQL skills including database design, stored procedures, and performance optimization.
- Experience using GitHub Copilot in Agent mode to assist with Java development.
- Ability to create cross-browser and cross-platform compatible solutions.
- Strong understanding of web application security best practices.
- Preferred: Experience developing property and casualty insurance applications.
- Preferred: Familiarity with non-functional requirements such as performance tuning and scalability strategies.
