The Opportunity
A leading international law firm is seeking a Senior Insurance Coverage Litigation Attorney to join its Miami team. This opportunity offers sophisticated, high-value insurance coverage and market-conduct litigation for U.S. and international insurer clients across the country.
The successful candidate will manage complex coverage matters, provide strategic advice to insurer clients, and contribute to a collaborative team serving risk-intensive industries through a substantial national and global platform.
Practice Focus
The practice includes complex insurance coverage litigation and advisory work involving:
Commercial general liability coverage
Commercial property claims, including business interruption and pollution matters
Professional liability and errors-and-omissions coverage for lawyers, agents, and accountants
Directors and officers coverage
Market-conduct and insurance bad-faith matters
Complex liability-insurance disputes
Key Responsibilities
Analyze insurance policies, claims, and coverage issues
Prepare coverage opinions and strategic recommendations for insurer clients
Conduct legal research using Westlaw, Lexis, and Nexis
Draft interrogatories, document demands, discovery responses, motions, and other litigation materials
Review documents and prepare files for litigation
Attend depositions, hearings, mediations, and other proceedings as required
Manage competing deadlines across sensitive and complex matters
Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop practical coverage and litigation strategies
Qualifications
Active Florida Bar admission required
7+ years of relevant litigation experience preferred
Experience in insurance coverage, insurance bad faith, commercial litigation, or related liability-insurance matters strongly preferred
Strong academic credentials; Law Review and/or academic honours are an asset
Exceptional legal research, writing, analytical, and organizational skills
Ability to independently manage sophisticated matters and communicate effectively with insurer clients
Strong professional judgment and attention to detail
