- Design, develop, maintain, and support high-volume, mission-critical IBM z/TPF applications using High-Level Assembler (HLASM/ASM).
- Analyze, debug, and resolve complex production issues using IBM z/TPF Toolkit, debuggers, dump analysis, and diagnostic utilities.
- Perform low-level system troubleshooting, including Entry Control Block (ECB) processing, registers, storage management, and transaction execution flows.
- Maintain and manage TPFDF database record structures, retrieval/update logic, and access paths.
- Trace code execution flows generated by macro expansion and analyze underlying functional logic.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and impact assessment for production issues related to inventory, reservation, and ticketing systems.
- Lead technical efforts by performing peer code reviews, mentoring development teams, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Create detailed technical documentation, design specifications, and debugging reports; support production deployments, testing, and post-release validation.
- Ensure maximum system performance, stability, and production-safe updates for enterprise mainframe environments.
- Utilize source control and change management tools (e.g., Git, Jira) and work within Agile/Scrum development frameworks.
- Apply strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to independently investigate and resolve multi-module assembler issues.
- Preferred: Experience with TPFDF, C/Assembler integration, z/OS, TSO/ISPF, JCL, performance analysis, and legacy system modernization.
