<h2>Position Overview</h2><p>We are seeking an experienced <strong>Senior Government Contract Accountant</strong> to provide critical year-end accounting support for a growing federal contractor. This is a hands-on consulting opportunity for an accounting professional who can quickly integrate into the team, work independently, and provide immediate value during a busy year-end period.</p><p>The ideal candidate will have a strong background in government contracting, incurred cost submissions, indirect rates, DCAA compliance, and financial reporting within FAR-regulated environments.</p><h2>Key Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Review, analyze, and reconcile general ledger accounts</li><li>Prepare year-end schedules and audit-ready workpapers</li><li>Support month-end and year-end close activities</li><li>Assist with preparation of annual Incurred Cost Submissions (ICS)</li><li>Develop and maintain ICE model schedules</li><li>Prepare indirect rate calculations and reconciliations</li><li>Support financial reporting and audit requests</li><li>Ensure compliance with FAR Part 31 and government contracting accounting standards</li><li>Partner with finance leadership on special projects and ad hoc analyses</li><li>Perform balance sheet reconciliations, accrual analyses, and account research</li><li>Support DCAA audit requests and compliance initiatives</li></ul><h2>Required Qualifications</h2><ul><li>7+ years of progressive accounting experience</li><li>Significant experience within a government contracting environment</li><li>Hands-on experience preparing or supporting:
	<ul><li>Incurred Cost Submissions (ICS)</li><li>ICE Model schedules</li><li>Indirect rates</li><li>DCAA audits and compliance requirements</li><li>FAR Part 31 cost principles</li></ul></li><li>Strong general ledger and account reconciliation experience</li><li>Experience supporting year-end close and financial reporting activities</li><li>Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
	<ul><li>Pivot Tables</li><li>VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP</li><li>Complex formulas</li><li>Financial data analysis and reporting</li></ul></li><li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision</li><li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills</li></ul><div><br/>
