This role designs, implements, and optimizes solutions across Motor Vehicle Title and Registration, Motor Vehicle Enforcement, Tax Processing, and Property Tax. As a senior developer, you will play a crucial role in the analysis, design, and implementation of maintenance, upgrade, and new development projects within GenTax (COTS software).ResponsibilitiesDiscovery, Strategy & Stakeholder Alignment includes designing, developing, and maintaining software applications within the GenTax system using C# and SQL, including writing advanced SQL queries and implementing API services to support business requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. You will perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices. You will troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to application performance, functionality, and integration points. You will identify problems or potential problem areas and recommend solutions. You will stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends to propose innovative solutions and improvements. You will provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.This is a hybrid position (95% offsite / 5% onsite). The contractor will need to be in the office once a week for in-person meetings. The 5% onsite expectation equates to roughly two hours per week.
