    Job Overview - Senior Financial Analyst - 34357

    This is an 3 day in / 2 day out role in the Charlotte, NC area. Our client is not offering relocation assistance at this time.

    Our client is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join a growing FP&A team supporting a global manufacturing organization. This role offers broad exposure to business operations, executive leadership, and strategic decision-making while serving as a key finance partner to operating sites and functional leaders.

    The ideal candidate is a highly analytical finance professional who enjoys turning data into actionable insights, partnering with the business, and driving continuous improvement.     Key Responsibilities

    Financial Planning & Analysis

    • Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes across multiple business units and shared services functions.
    • Analyze monthly financial performance and provide insights on variances to budget, forecast, and prior year results.
    • Develop financial models and scenario analyses to support operational, commercial, and strategic initiatives.

    Business Partnership

    • Partner directly with operating locations and functional leaders to evaluate profitability, cost trends, productivity initiatives, and key operational metrics.
    • Provide actionable financial insights that help drive business performance and informed decision-making.
    • Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional teams to improve financial understanding and accountability.

    Strategic Decision Support

    • Support capital investment evaluations through ROI analysis, business case development, and post-investment performance tracking.
    • Assist with pricing analysis, cost reduction initiatives, and growth opportunities.
    • Help identify risks and opportunities that impact financial performance and long-term business objectives.

    Reporting & Process Improvement

    • Prepare management reporting packages, dashboards, and presentations for finance and business leadership.
    • Support consolidated reporting activities across multiple business units to ensure consistency, accuracy, and transparency.
    • Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, data quality, automation, and overall FP&A effectiveness.
    • Partner closely with Accounting to ensure alignment between financial results, forecasts, and operational performance metrics.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
    • 3-6 years of experience in FP&A, Operations Finance, Corporate Finance, or a related analytical role.
    • Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical capabilities.
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
    • Ability to synthesize complex financial data into meaningful business insights.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence business partners.
    • Detail-oriented with a proactive, growth-oriented mindset.

    Preferred

    • Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, or multi-site operations.
    • Exposure to capital investment analysis, ROI modeling, and operational KPI reporting.
    • Experience working within global or multi-business-unit organizations.
    • Familiarity with financial planning and reporting tools
