Job Title: Sr Field Technician
Job Description
The Sr Field Technician supports field testing, inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical power equipment in a hands-on, field-based role. This position works extensively with low, medium, and high voltage equipment such as circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, grounding systems, instrument transformers, and related electrical apparatus. The role requires regular travel, overtime, strong safety awareness, and a desire to grow within electrical testing and power systems, with a clear path toward NETA certification.

Work Environment
This is a field-based role with approximately 95% of the time spent at customer sites performing hands-on work with electrical power equipment. The position is ideally based in Nashville, Tennessee, with flexibility to sit in Murfreesboro, Clarksville, or Cookeville, TN. The work involves travel to local and regional sites, with a company card provided for hotels and per diem when traveling. A company vehicle and gas card are provided for field work. The role includes working around low, medium, and high voltage equipment in industrial, utility, and related environments, often requiring the use of specialized testing equipment such as Ductor testers, Hi-Pot testers, power factor testers, and ratio/saturation testing tools. The company provides a cellphone and laptop to support field operations and reporting. Personal protective equipment support includes an annual boot allowance, an annual allowance for prescription safety goggles if needed, and an annual allowance with a fire-retardant clothing provider to obtain appropriate flame-resistant clothing. The environment emphasizes safety, continuous training, and professional development, including 2-3 classes per year for NETA certification preparation and structured pay increases and bonuses tied to achieving NETA Level II, III, and IV accreditation.

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
