Senior Estimator

The Senior Estimator will play a key role in preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring competitive bids and successful project execution. This role involves working closely with the construction team to analyze project requirements and deliver detailed cost assessments.

Client Details

A General Contractor in the property and construction industry headquartered in Scarborough ME and with multiple offices in Central Florida.

Description

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.
• Collaborate with project managers and design teams to ensure accurate project scope and requirements.
• Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Identify potential project risks and provide recommendations to mitigate them.
• Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
• Review and analyze bids from subcontractors and suppliers for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist in the preparation of project budgets and schedules.
• Provide support during pre-construction and value engineering phases.

Profile

A successful Senior Estimator should have:

• Strong experience with construction cost estimating and project analysis.
• Familiarity with construction plans, specifications, and industry standards.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to work effectively with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Proficiency in relevant estimating software and tools.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
