Job Summary:
The Arizona Cardinals are seeking a highly experienced Senior Enterprise Risk Manager to lead the organizations enterprise-wide risk management and insurance programs. This strategic individual contributor will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, financing, and mitigating risks across multiple business entities while partnering with executive leadership to protect the organizations assets and support long-term growth.
This role oversees all aspects of the organizations insurance portfolio, captive insurance company, contractual risk transfer, claims administration, construction risk management, and enterprise risk initiatives. The position reports to the CFO and will work closely with Finance, Legal, Human Resources, Operations, Development, and external insurance brokers, carriers, captive manager and advisors.
This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced risk professional who enjoys building programs, influencing executive decision-making, and operating across a diverse portfolio of businesses. This position offers the opportunity to build and lead a sophisticated enterprise risk management program supporting one of the NFLs premier organizations and its affiliated businesses. The successful candidate will influence strategic decisions across professional sports, concessions, aviation and real estate development while working directly with executive leadership on some of the organizations most significant initiatives.

The Senior Enterprise Risk Manager will have the daily responsibilities including, without limitation, to the following:
Insurance Program Management
Manage all corporate insurance programs, including but not limited to:
Property
General Liability
Umbrella/Excess Liability
Workers Compensation
Cyber Liability
Directors & Officers Liability
Employment Practices Liability
Crime/Fidelity
Professional Liability
Builders Risk
Owners Interest
Environmental/Pollution
Aviation
Automobile
Lead annual insurance renewals and marketing efforts.
Evaluate coverage adequacy, limits, deductibles, and overall program structure.
Analyze claims experience and recommend program improvements.
Captive Insurance Management
Oversee administration of the organizations captive insurance company.
Coordinate with captive managers, actuaries, auditors, investment advisors, and regulatory authorities.
Review financial performance and capitalization.
Evaluate opportunities for expanding captive participation and optimizing retained risk.
Construction & Development Risk
Manage insurance programs associated with major capital development projects.
Coordinate Builders Risk, Owners Interest, Pollution Liability, OCIP/CCIP, and other construction-related coverages.
Review contractual insurance requirements with contractors and developers.
Partner with Legal and Development teams on risk allocation strategies.
Enterprise Risk Management
Develop and maintain the organizations Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework.
Identify, assess, prioritize, and monitor strategic, operational, financial, legal, and emerging risks.
Prepare enterprise risk assessments and present findings to executive leadership.
Recommend risk mitigation strategies aligned with the organizations risk appetite.
Monitor evolving industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks.
Claims Management
Oversee significant property, casualty, and liability claims.
Coordinate with carriers, adjusters, legal counsel, and internal stakeholders.
Identify trends and implement loss prevention initiatives.
Contractual Risk Management
Review contracts for insurance and indemnification provisions.
Recommend appropriate risk transfer mechanisms.
Partner with Legal during contract negotiations involving significant risk exposure.
Cross-Functional Partnership
Serve as the primary liaison with insurance brokers, consultants, underwriters, actuaries, and external advisors.
Collaborate with Finance on budgeting and forecasting insurance costs.
Support Human Resources on employee-related risk matters.
Partner with Operations and Facilities on loss prevention initiatives.
Provide executive leadership with strategic recommendations regarding enterprise risk.
