Our client, a growing engineering firm is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer who is interested in advancing into a future leadership role. This unique opportunity offers succession planning potential. All applications and inquiries will be kept strictly confidential.

Location: Dayton, OH | Onsite
Salary: $120,000 - $200,000 per year, based on experience, technical expertise, industry background, and overall qualifications.
 
What You'll Do

  • Design medium and low voltage power distribution, control systems, transformers, lighting, VFDs, MCCs, switchgear, and related industrial electrical systems
  • Develop single-line diagrams, wiring schematics, cable schedules, and electrical layouts
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers and designers
  • Collaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Provide occasional field support, site visits, and construction assistance (approximately 20% travel)

 
What We're Looking For

  • PE License required
  • 5+ years of electrical design experience in industrial, chemical, or process manufacturing environments
  • Strong knowledge of NEC and industrial power distribution systems
  • Experience with ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower, including short circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit
  • Familiarity with P&IDs and electrical design documentation
  • Ability to obtain and maintain NCEES record and multi-state licensure
  • Must reside in the Greater Dayton area and be willing to commute to the office
