Senior Developer, DDM Development & Campaign Automation

JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Developer, DDM Development & Campaign Automation is a senior technical contributor responsible for delivering personalized, omnichannel customer communications at scale through Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO and Salesforce Marketing Cloud. This role focuses on building, testing, and deploying email, push, SMS, and related messaging channels, while driving technical excellence, scalable personalization, and operational efficiency across high-volume, business-critical campaigns.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Adobe Journey Optimizer Platform & Channel Execution

• Implement email, push, SMS, and emerging messaging channels within AJO.

• Apply best practices for responsive templates, accessibility, localization, and deliverability.

• Serve as a senior technical resource for complex journeys and advanced personalization use cases.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to rendering, data dependencies, and channel behavior.

• Follow established QA, testing, and release management processes.

• Ensure compliance with CAN-SPAM, TCPA, GDPR, and internal data governance standards.

• Maintain documentation, templates, and implementation standards.

• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and process optimization.

• Personalization & Dynamic Content Development

• Build and execute scalable personalization using dynamic content, decisioning logic, and real-time attributes.

• Translate segmentation and data requirements into reusable and efficient solutions.

• Develop modular components and templates to support consistent execution across campaigns.

• Partner with data and analytics teams to ensure personalization is accurate and measurable.

• Campaign Development & Deployment

• Build, QA, and deploy campaigns across email, push, and SMS channels.

• Ensure all deliverables meet quality, performance, and compliance standards.

• Support high-volume lifecycle and triggered communications with accuracy and timeliness.

• Participate in release processes and validate readiness for production deployment.

• Agile Delivery & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Contribute technical input during intake, backlog grooming, and sprint planning.

• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Creative, QA, Data Engineering, and Analytics teams.

• Align development work with sprint priorities and enterprise change management processes.

• Support continuous improvement through retrospectives and knowledge sharing.

• Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong expertise in customer journey orchestration, event-driven messaging, and channel execution across email, SMS, and push.
• Adobe Marketing Platform Knowledge: Working knowledge of Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO, Adobe Campaign Orchestration (ACO, Federated Audience Composition (FAC, and Adobe Experience Platform (AEP
• Salesforce Marketing Cloud Knowledge: Working knowledge of Content Builder, Automations and Journeys
• Working knowledge of APIs, data flows, identity resolution, and integration patterns.
• Hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, and dynamic content.
• Ability to translate data and segmentation requirements into scalable implementations.
• Strong understanding of QA processes, deliverability, and campaign performance considerations.
• Analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Effective collaboration skills in cross-functional, agile environments.
• Customer-focused mindset with attention to accuracy, timing, and experience quality.
• Adobe Journey Optimizer certification preffered.
• Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Marketing Technology, Digital Marketing, Business, or a related field required (or equivalent practical experience.

EXPERIENCE:

• 5+ years of experience in marketing technology, digital messaging, or campaign development.
• Adobe Journey Optimizer, Adobe Campaign Orchestration, Federated Audience Composition, Adobe Experience Platform (preferred
• Salesforce Marketing Cloud Content Builder, Automations and Journeys (preferred
• Proven experience building and executing personalized messaging at scale.
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, and dynamic content.
• Experience operating in large, matrixed organizations.
• Familiarity with enterprise customer data models and CDP platforms.
• Experience supporting high-volume lifecycle or triggered communications.
