Our client, a leading manufacturer and service provider of industrial power transmission equipment, is seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join its engineering team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design gear drives, drivetrain systems, and mechanical assemblies to meet customer and engineering requirements.
  • Develop detailed part drawings, bills of materials, assemblies, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Review and verify engineering drawings and designs for accuracy and compliance with company and customer standards.
  • Perform engineering analysis of gear drive components and rotating equipment to ensure performance and reliability.
  • Select and analyze bearings, lubrication systems, and instrumentation for gear drive applications.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, field service, customer support, and sales teams to resolve technical issues and support successful project execution.
  • Evaluate customer specifications and project requirements to ensure product performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by developing engineering tools and processes that enhance department efficiency.
  • Provide technical guidance during manufacturing, assembly, testing, and installation activities.
  • Travel up to 5% as required.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience designing mechanical drive systems or rotating equipment.
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks or comparable 3D CAD software.
  • Experience designing industrial rotating equipment preferred.
  • Experience reviewing and checking manufacturing drawings.
  • Working knowledge of AGMA, API, and/or military specifications preferred.
  • Experience with gear drive design is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of rotor dynamics and mass elastic analysis is a plus.
  • Experience with vibration and acoustic analysis is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
