Overview
The mission of the City of Boston Assessing department is to accurately collect data, assess property at its full and fair cash value, and provide prompt and courteous service to the public. The Assessing department is a leader in municipal valuation and seeks to maintain that status by attracting talented, experienced staff to our core staffing.
The Senior Data Processing Systems Analyst reports to the Director of Information Systems and serves as the departments key technical resource responsible for the administration, support, enhancement, and continuous improvement of the Assessing department's business applications, databases, and technical infrastructure.
This position provides technical support for the Departments Computer-Assisted Mass Appraisal (CAMA) system, Abatement/Exemption Workflow application, 3ABC Online Filing Application, and related enterprise systems. The analyst works closely with business users, vendors, and IT staff to improve business processes, modernize applications, ensure data integrity, support annual tax billing operations, and deliver reliable reporting and analytical solutions.
The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in SQL Server, Microsoft Access, Excel, and data analysis, with the ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions while providing exceptional customer support.
